Meet the lone Russian track star allowed at the Olympics

Russian beauty Darya Klishina will get to compete for Olympic gold.

After getting suspending by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) last week over “new information it received” about the Russian long jumper, the 25-year-old won her appeal Monday after submitting her case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

All Russian track and field athletes, including the United States-based Klishina, originally were banned from the Games following allegations the country ran a state-sponsored doping scheme. Now, Klishina will compete in the Olympics for the first time Tuesday.

“The Court of Arbitration for Sport set aside the IAAF decision and confirmed that I am a clean athlete who remains eligible to compete under IAAF rules in the Olympic Games and other international competitions,” Klishina wrote on Facebook. “The IAAF decision of 9 July now remains in effect which found that I was eligible because I was available to reliable drug testing around the world almost 90% of the time.”

The 25-year-old’s social media profile certainly portrays her as far from the clutches of Russian doping schemers.

The sun-kissed stunner has ventured across the America several times this summer. Between Florida getaways and trips to the New York, the stylish jet-setter also set aside a few hours for a beach day (or two). Should she bring home a medal, expect another striking selfie in Klishina’s future.
