HAZLET, NJ — On Sunday, Sept. 11, residents may visit the township's own 9/11 monument located at the Cullen Center, facing Union Avenue.

The September 11 Memorial stands in memory to residents killed in the terrorist attacks on that day in 2001, according to the township. Their names and portraits are engraved in the 9 foot, 11-inch stone monument, which is surrounded by nine benches in an 11-foot radius.

Benches and pavers are engraved with messages of remembrance or other victims' names.
