1. Kinglake National Park
If you live in Melbourne, Kinglake National Park is a good spot to go camping, enjoy a bushwalk or have a picnic. Visit Kinglake National Park for beautiful messmate forests, fern gullies, panoramic lookouts and bushwalking tracks, all within a short distance from Melbourne.

2. Kinglake Raspberries
With over 36,000 metres of raspberry rows, Kinglake Raspberries is one of the biggest berry farms in Australia and is worth a visit when you’re in Kinglake. The best time to visit is during the harvest seasons (Summer and Autumn) when you can pick your own raspberries or buy freshly pre-picked from the Farm Shop.

Summer: Dec-Jan. Daily 9am-5pm
Autumn: Late March-Mid May. Daily 9am-4pm
Between Seasons: While there are no berries to pick, the farm is open Mon – Fri 9am – 4pm for sales of frozen berries, jams, sauces and raspberry relief.

3. Kinglake Waterfall
If you want to visit a Kinglake waterfall head to Kinglake National Park to see some of the best waterfalls in the area. Wombelano Falls and Masons Falls are among the best in Kinglake.

4. Kinglake Market
The Kinglake Produce & Artisan Market has a wide range of variety stalls to suit all members of the family. Purchase fresh produce, wines, hot & cold food (sweet and savoury), plants, jams, chutneys, relishes, jewellery, quilted items, giftware, community stalls, coffee and a lot more.
With children’s activities varying from month to month, such as face painters, drawing and painting easels, petting zoos and jumping castles, there is something for everyone.
Kinglake Farmers Market is held on the 4th Sunday of each month from 10am to 3pm. It is closed over Winter (June to August).

7. Kinglake Ride
If you’re interested in riding your mountain bike in Kinglake, head to Bowden Spur Mountain Bike Area in Kinglake National Park. This newly built 2km bike trail is suitable for experienced riders.
Bowden Spur Road is located approximately 200m from the intersection of the Kinglake-Whittlesea Road in Kinglake Central.

8. Bollygum Park Kinglake
A magical playground, Bollygum Park is based on the award-winning children’s book ‘Bollygum’ by Garry Fleming. This is a great place for parents to take their kids of all ages.
Some of the main attractions here are:
- Frogmouths House – the main play structure of the park with senior and junior sections including a climbing wall, monkey bars, rope bridges, flying fox, wave slide, bird nest swings, dual metal slide for racing (under cover) and many noisy musical elements and a talk and listen tubes
- Skate Park – architecturally designed skate park with a bowl that opens into a street area with small euro, ledges, stairs, banks and quarter
- Bower Birds Nest with its shiny blue trinkets
- Platypus’s House with musical cylinders or make a pretend fire in the huge hearth
- Wombat’s House has beautiful carved murals on the walls, tunnel slide, spiral slide, distorting mirrors, speak and listen system and lots of unusual equipment to make sounds
- Fishing at Dry Creek
- Five swings including two birds nest swings and a swing with a seat
- Community Market held from September to May on the second Sunday of the month, 10am to 2pm
- Shady seats including many shaped from logs, unshaded tables, water tap, toilets and BBQ

9. Kinglake Horseriding
Kinglake provides ample opportunities for horseriding with its lovely outdoor setting and national park. There are two places where you can go horse riding in Kinglake. Kinglake Homestead offers horse riding on trails through Kinglake National Park while Melbourne Indoor Equestrian Centre provides a full range of Pony Club and Horse Riding activities.
10. Kinglake Fishing
Unfortunately, there are no fishing spots in Kinglake National Park. The only spot for fishing in Kinglake is at Bollygum Park on Whittlesea Kinglake Road. Head to Dry Creek for fishing with rod and reel.
