Neoplatonism and the Tarot – Video

A video conversation with Robert M. Place and Angelo Nasios, discussing the Neoplatonic symbolism illustrated in The  Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery.

This video was a spontaneous event. Angelo asked me to discuss the trumps from my Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery and how they illustrate Neoplatonic philosophy, and I just started talking about them. Listening to it now, I see that I made two mistakes.  One, The Lives of the Painters was actually authored by Vasari in 1550.  Vitruvius was an ancient Roman architect, who inspired Leonardo’s drawing called Vitruvian Man. Two, I listed Mars out of order when discussing the Ptolemaic cosmos The correct order is depicted below, from the bottom up: Luna, Mercury, Venus, Sol, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn.
