Enculturation and Acculturation

Enculturation:

Enculturation is the procedure by which an individual receives the personal conduct standards of the way of life he lives in.

Model: In the more established days, when relationships were held so our fantastic guardians embrace the way of life of Indian patterns like all the Rituals that Hindus do, they follow similar examples of customs like mayo function, mehndi and so on.

Acculturation:

one cultural group adopting the practices of another cultural group. Acculturation is the exchange of cultural features that results when groups of individuals having different cultures come into continuous first hand contact, the original culture patterns of either or both groups may be altered, but the groups remain distinct.
Example: The Amerindians of North America (US and Canada) were acculturated into western, European society. The culture of the colonists replaced that of the Native Americans.
