Info

Colonies of Cladiella latissima are small with fine lobes arising from a short stalk.
There are abundant polyps on the lobes.
When touched, the touched part loses color very quickly, as is known in other species of Cladiella.

The present literature on Cladiella latissima deals mainly with checklists on the occurrence of the coral.

We would like to thank Prof. Michael Schleyer from South Africa, who provided us with the photo of the soft coral.

Synonym: Lobularia latissima Tixier-Durivault, 1944
