Dr. Corene Matyas is a Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Florida. They are a physical geographer who researches the spatial patterns of precipitation and tropical cyclones. They have been a member of SEDAAG since 2005 and received a SEDAAG Excellence in Teaching Award in 2019. Dr. Matyas previously served as Florida’s SEDAAG representative 2014-2017, and on the Nominations Committee 2019-2021.
