Inspiring typography: Studio Feixen

Studio Feixen is an independent Design Studio based in Switzerland. Studio Feixen doesn’t have any specific, particular focus, they do everything from graphic & fashion designs to type designs & animation. Being a really small, niche agency in a small city of Lucerne, Studio Feixen has earned a great recognition all over the world and worked with clients like Nike, Google, Hermes, The New Your Times, etc. 

“We think there are no limitations. Everything can be interesting. Sometimes it’s the format, sometimes the texture, the cut or the opacity. The more you know about it, the better you can play with it”, – designers at Studio Feixen.

What really caught my attention when I firstly saw the company’s website and Instagram page was THE BEAUTIFUL USE OF TYPOGRAPHY which immediately generated my interest. Beautiful fonts, animated typography, use of colours and textures – everything makes you scroll the feed over and over again.

I would love to share some of Studio Feixen’s typographic campaigns which I really find inspirational and worth attention. 

Vlow!

Vlow! is a festival in the innovative international platform between communication, design and architecture. Studio Feixen worked on the visual presentation of the festival. They developed a concept of a continuous motion:  animated poster, a modular poster system, and lastly, an animation that’s displayed across the facade of the nearby Casino Bregenz.

Oto Nové Swiss!

Oto Nové is a three-day music festival at London’s Cafe Oto. Studio Feixen designed an interactive poster which you can explore (by simply clicking on the objects), play around with and even create your own music.

Hermès!

Just a beautifully done Christmas campaign for Hermès perfumes. The result is a small set of patterns with three main actors: Bubble, Bling and Pong.
