Machine learning is a rapidly expanding field of artificial intelligence based on the idea that computers can learn from data, identify patterns and make predictions with minimal human intervention. It is advancing towards a distributed model where data is processed at the edge of the network, closer to where it's being generated. This shift is driven by the increasing volume, velocity, and variety of data generated by IoT devices and the need for real-time insights. According to Statista, there will be more than 29 billion IoT devices worldwide by 2030. Edge computing will become an increasingly important part of the IT landscape as the Internet of Things grows.
