CALACEITE

We will begin the tour of the magnificent and charming town of Calaceite, which brings together beautiful streets, stately buildings, squares and porticos. The gorgeous renaissance style façade of the town hall is a must and stands out together with the Baroque church.

VALDERROBRES

We will continue our route in Valderrobres, the capital of the Matarraña or Matarranya (in Catalan) region, and considered one of the most beautiful towns in Aragón and Spain. Crowned by its monumental castle and connected to the Gothic church of Santa María la Mayor, we will stop in the Plaza Mayor, which is accessed through the magnificent ‘stone bridge’, and we will admire the elegant town hall and several palatial mansions that gives you an idea of the importance of this place.

Declared a Historic Site, its medieval streets, full of beautiful corners, include monuments such as the church of Santa María, one of the greatest exponents of Gothic architecture in Aragon, the castle – palace of Valderrobres, also Gothic, and the outstanding city hall. example of the Aragonese Renaissance palace.

This will be the perfect moment for a 2 hours lunch break in Valderrobres, enough time for try the local delicacies with stunning views of the river or just relax or stroll the cute town centre

PUERTOS DE BECEITE

After a delicious lunch in the small but spectacular town of Beceite, it is time to visit the famous Ports of Beceite, a mountainous massif that separates the Ebro valley from the Mediterranean and extends between the provinces of Tarragona, Castellón and Teruel. Its steep mountains, pierced by numerous rivers and ravines, hide impressive places such as the Parrizal de Beceite, Las Rocas del Masmut, La Pesquera and Salt de la Portellada.

Entering the Parrizal is a fantastic experience, suitable for all ages given its ease. Our route will begin very close to Beceite and runs parallel to the Matarraña river. During our tour we will cross the river on several occasions with the help of walkways that will take you over small pools of transparent water.
