Affably Evil One-shot Heist: Mission Implausible

About the adventure

You were the minions of a Big Bad Evil Guy, but a band of reckless adventurers has cut your employment short. Yesterday, you heard a rumour that the Church of Pelor is moving a powerful magic item out of its current location to a more secure holding place. The Book of Vile Darkness could be yours, but you'll have to act quickly... This game is a heist one-shot for a party of mildly evil level 5 characters, trying to steal an ancient, evil and powerful artifact from the temple it's stored in. Expect hi-jinks and shenanigans, especially once the players get their hands on magic items from the temple's vaults.

How to prepare

You will need: • a working microphone, so we can hear you • a Discord account, which we will use for a voice chat • a DnDBeyond account, which we will use to make characters I would recommend a webcam, but it is not essential.

What I provide

I will provide you access to our campaign's virtual space on DnDBeyond. I have thorough knowledge of the rules of D&D 5e. I'll provide help with character creation, if needed. This is a digital game, so we can travel light on most other supplies.

Gameplay details

Before the game, everyone will be given access to a list of topics for lines and veils. X, N & O's will be messaged on the discord server, spoken aloud, or otherwise indicated.

How will character creation work

Characters are level 5, and preferably non-human (kobolds and goblins for the win!) I will send you a link to the DnDBeyond campaign where you can make your character. Stats will be generated using standard point-buy. NB: The characters are affably evil, not psychopaths. This game is intended to be light-hearted. I am happy to help newer players with character creation.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
