Scarffs Red Flowering Quince

$10.00

Scarffs Red Flowering Quince (Chaenomeles speciosa ‘Scarff’s Red’) is considered an “old-fashioned favorite,” and there’s no wonder why!  The vivid crimson-red cup-shaped blooms on this shrub are some of the first to welcome spring and are absolutely stunning!

Bees, birds, and butterflies love me!  I’m low-maintenance, hardy, and resistant to deer, salt, and drought once established.  I do best in full to part sun and should be pruned after I flower to keep me healthy.  I do spread by suckers so get rid of these if you don’t want more of me.

Ours are well-rooted in either one-gallon or 2-quart pots, ready to be out of their cramped quarters!  Quince do much better in the ground. 🙂
