‘Footsteps slowly creaked…’ by Taylor Rees 7i

pictures 2Footsteps slowly creaked on every step of the stairs. The bedroom door handle turned slowly. The door opened and person behind the door revealed himself. My parents were not home at this time, so I did not know if they knew him. He said that he was my parents’ best friend and that we all were in trouble.

He also said that we need to leave now so I ran into my brother’s room and told him to pack his bags and meet me downstairs in five minutes. I packed and ran downstairs; I asked the man what his name was just in case my parents had mentioned him before. He said his name was Eilath. My parents never told me about him, but I trusted him because he said my parents were going to meet us wherever he was taking us.

My brother came downstairs and left straight away. There was something my parents were not telling me. We got to the destination and my parents were there. I had so many questions I wanted to ask them but there was no time.

They said, ‘We are not human. We are aliens.’

‘But we look like humans,’ I said.

My mother said. ‘It is a disguise.’

She said they were under cover on a mission. The bad people caught up with them and were now trying to kill them.
