Niagara Falls freezes and this is how it looks!

If you are in the USA and Canada, there is no path worth taking than the one that takes you to the famous Niagara Falls. More so now, since the Niagara Falls have almost frozen due to the cold wave in the region, thus appearing like a picture from some fairytale.

Although visiting Niagara Falls may not be easy due to the restrictions imposed to curb COVID pandemic, a few pictures of the frozen Niagara Falls have been attracting attention on Instagram.
Located at the border of the USA and Canada, the frozen Niagara Falls are too powerful to freeze, but the surrounding mist freezes in winter, enveloping everything close to it in layers of ice.

A travel website also reports that water going over the Niagara Falls can also freeze, leading to about 40 ft deep sheets of ice at the foot. When the temperature stays below zero for long, ice bridges also appear and look like glaciers rising into the sky.
Reportedly, temperature in Niagara Falls hovered between 12 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit over the past weekend.
Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls located at the southern end of Niagara Gorge, spread across the border between Ontario in Canada and New York in the USA. Horseshoe Falls, also known as Canadian Falls, is the largest of the three falls. The smaller ones, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, are situated within the United States.
