The Tennessee Titans bolstered the back end of their wide receivers depth chart on Thursday morning, with the team re-signing 2020 UDFA Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to a one-year deal.
While NWI has had his fair share of detractors over the years, it really hasn’t been fair because he’s often been pushed into a bigger role than he’s suited for, mostly because of injuries. That’s not something that should be held against him.
The reality is, NWI is a solid backup wide receiver who excels as a blocker and is a very good special teams contributor. Assuming that is the role the Titans are bringing him back for, this re-signing makes all the sense in the world.
