Ventrolateral view of a dissected head. The digastricus m. (1) consists of two bellies separated by a tendinous intersection (asterisk). The mandibular (2) and monostomatic sublingual (3) salivary glands have been reflected to reveal their ducts (arrows). Notice the hypoglossal n. (4), and the medial retropharyngeal lymph node (5). Also, find the masseter m. (6), mylohyoid m. (7), sternothyroideus m. (8), and thyrohyoideus m. (9).
