Helifab obtains FAA approval for Bell 206L series and 407 utility litter with increased max weight

Helifab, headquartered in Broussard, Louisiana, has received FAA approval for increased maximum weight of its utility litter in its Bell 206L series and 407 EMS interior STC. The utility litter allows for transportation of neonatal isolettes and other medical equipment up to a maximum certificated weight of 240 lb.

“The FAA Approval of this weight increase will provide operators utilizing Helifab EMS interiors an Approved mount capable of transporting up to 240Lb of life saving medical equipment.” said David Guidry, general manager of Helifab. “We would like to thank the FAA for their assistance in gaining this approval, which will allow EMS operators the ability to provide an expanded level of care to children in desperate need of safe and efficient air transportation.”
