Red Powder Puff Plants

This gallery contains 2 images. This looks like a Koosh ball from the 1990s, or a sea urchin dyed pink — but it is actually a (Red) Powder Puff Plant. My first thought was, doesn’t the flower feel spiky? Apparently the middle is, but the outer parts are not. My second thought was, doesn’t the supporting plant underneath look like a little green man lifting the flower high above his head, almost like a cheerleader?

The second one looks like a deflated or wilted powder puff plant. Except for the two-tone leaves, which aren’t present in the first photograph. Maybe Pink Candy Floss plant or Unspooled Fuchsia Thread plant?
