Description Of Family Support In The Care Of The Elderly With Hypertension In Penen Village, Sibiru-Biru District In 2022The elderly are often at risk of developing hypertension. This is because in the elderly they experience a decrease in the elasticity of the aortic wall, thickening of the heart valves, and a decreased ability to pump the heart. Thus, family support is needed by the elderly during the treatment period. The research purpose to determine the family support in the care of the elderly with hypertension in Penen Village, Sibiru–Biru District in 2022. The study used a descriptive method with a total sampling of 49 elderly respondents who had pre-hypertension and above (pre-hypertension, stage I, stage II). Effect of Family Support Intervention towards Quality of Life with Elderly’s Hypertension in Communityhe quality of life of the elderly is influenced by physical, psychological, social and environmental factors. These four factors desperately need family support as a support system for the elderly. This study aims to determine the effect of family support intervention on the quality of life of elderly hypertension in Community Area Cipayung Puskesmas East Jakarta. The research method used quasi-experiment with control group design. The sampling strategy used multistage random sampling with 30 samples for the intervention group and 30 for the control group. Introduction: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is known as the silent killer, where sufferers often do not realize its signs and symptoms and are frequently diagnosed during another health complication. To maintain quality of life, the family is required to provide support, therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between family and the patient through observational analytic research.Methods: 120 people with DM make up the research sample using an accidental sampling technique, and data analysis was carried out using the Spearman rank test. The results found that 62 respondents (51.7%) agreed to their families providing good support, and 102 (85%) were satisfied with their quality of life.Results: The Spearman test resulted in a P value of 0,000 and R of 0.334. Hypertension is related to the incidence of cardiovascular diseases. Family support is essential for the patient to control the disease. This study aimed to analyze whether the family positively contributes to the patient's control of the disease. The research was carried out in 2005 in Teresina, PI, Brazil and involved people who were enrolled in the Hypertension Program of an Integrated Health Center. Data were collected through individual interviews, using the Critical Incident Technique. After the content analysis, the element Consequence was identified in 146 references, 58 positive and 88 negative, composing four categories: Family, Financial, Health and Emotional Aspects. Difficulties in family relationships, patients' concern with their descendants, and the families' little involvement in the patients' care were identified through the reports.
