Abstract [First record of Admete viridula (Fabricius) from Piacenzian and Gelasian of Padane Mediterranean Basin: notes on its paleoclimatic and biogeographic significance (Mollusca Gastropoda Cancellariidae)] Admete viridula (Fabricius) is reported for the first time from Piacenzian and Gelasian of Padane Basin (Romagna), in bathyal environments, that appear to be psychrospheric. The new finding gives the opportunity of a discussion on the paleoclimatic and paleo-biogeographic significance of the species in the context of a critical analysis of the concept of “nordic guest”.
[Inventory of “Giuliano Ruggieri” collection of fossil molluscs, kept in the Natural Science Museum “Malmerendi” of Faenza] The author has rearranged and made an inventory of the Giuliano Ruggieri collection of molluscs of Plio-Pleistocene and Miocene from the Romagna area, stored since more than twenty years in the depots of the Natural Science Museum of Faenza.
Abstract. [Eumetula alicei (Dautzemberg & Fischer ]886), an Atlantic guest in Romagna Pliocene (Northern Italy)] The authors report the occurrence of Eumetula alicei (Dautzemberg & H.Fischer, 1896) in the Piacenzian bathyal clays outcropping near Brisighella (Ravenna province, Northern Italy). The species occurs where the Bathyspinula excisa-Austrotindaria pusio paleo-community follows the Korobkovia oblonga-Jupiteria concava paleocommunity. The species is considered an Atlantic guest.
The discovery of two different plain settlements of terrestrial gastropod Helicodonta angigyra (Rossmässler 1835) reported for the first time in the province of Cremona are related; the two stations are respectively near the Adda and Oglio rivers, about 30 km from one another but at about the same latitude, which seems to be the southern limit of the Lombard distributional area for this species. Due to some non-exhaustive information about their discovery due to the poor recent, but mainly 19th-century, malacological bibliography, with specific reference to Strobel’s works (1851a, 1851b, 1853, 1859), a further investigation is advisable, along with the monitoring of already located settlements, in order to understand if they permanently live in the plain due to the natural distribution of the species, or if some individuals have been “passively transferred” outside their original distribution area because of human activities or river dynamics.
A survey conducted between 2010 and 2013 led to the discovery, in the central Po Valley, of a number of sites where Pseudotrichia rubiginosa (Rossmässler, 1838) - a small land snail characteristic of alluvial environments - occurs. This gastropod is listed from northern Italy in the Italian checklist (MANGANELLI et al., 1995), a record which probably originates from ancient museum collections only (see also GIUSTI, 2003). Nineteenth-century Italian naturalists reported this snail from the Po basin based on partially controversial information often difficult to interpret, whereas STROBEL (1857) provided the first reliable record of its presence along the Po river. The data reported in this article would appear to refer to the first living population of P. rubiginosa found in northern Italy in the last 150 years. The population is distributed along a stretch of river of at least 120 km.

Persististrombus latus (Gmelin, 1791) (Gastropoda: Strombidae) nel "Tirreniano" dell'isola di Favignana (Arcipelago delle Egadi, Sicilia ovest). [Persististrombus latus (Gmelin, 1791) (Gastropoda: Strombidae) in the "Tyrrhenian" of Favignana (Egadi Archipelago, Western Sicily)].2020 •
Persististrombus latus (Gmelin, 1791) (Gastropoda: Strombidae) in the Tyrrhenian of Favignana (Egadi Archipelago , Western Sicily). Some fossil shells of the genus Persistitrombus, occasionally recovered in a site of the island of Favignana, have led the authors to develop the study of some aspects related to the deposits of the Tyrrhenian. Therefore, after the geological framing of this lithostratigraphic horizon in the Upper Pleistocene, the results of the surveys carried out in two of the three sites of the island considered worthy of further study are exposed. In particular, an area has been mapped that still retains a fairly well preserved relict portion of the Tyrrhenian "Strombus-raised beaches"; for each shell of Persististrombus latus (= Strombus bubo-nius) the morphometric datum of the base-apex height was measured; some stratigraphic sections have been detected; some samplings of the deposits have been carried out to study their foraminifera content. About the tectonic and eustatic evolution of the studied area, useful for the definition of the mean sea level during the Tyrrhenian, the data derived from the literature are discussed. They show significant differences among them and also with respect to what we found in the survey. In conclusion , the paleoenvironmental reconstruction of the island and the dynamics that led to the fossilization of P. latus shells are outlined. Foraminiferal assemblages confirm the sediments deposited in an infralittoral environment close to the shoreline and the presence of the warm host Amphistegina lessonii is highlighted.
,A new species of Mitromorphidae, Mitromorpha scarponii n. sp., is described on material from the sediments of Piacenziano of Romagna. The new species differs from congeners, both current and Pliocene and Miocene, for the different sculpture of the shell. Diptychomitra subovalis Bellardi 1888, a Miocene species, appears to be the most similar, but it was not possible to make a comparison with the type material, since it was lost.
