Consequently, any incomplete Cirratulidae cannot be clearly identified as Tharyx parvus except by comparing mg staining pattern. Comments: SF Bay specimens with no apparent staining pattern except a few scafferd freckles especially on first few setigers; some stain in intersegmental grooves.
