Background: Significant works have been done on the diversity and distribution of porcellanids crabs in Indian coasts. The present work reports and describe porcelain crabs from the western coast of India. Result: Five species of porcelain crabs in three genera are reported from the western coast of India. Morphological descriptions with measurement of the reported species with key characters and distribution status are given. Conclusion: Petrolisthes boscii (Audouin, 1826), P. lamarckii (Leach, 1820), and P. rufescens (Heller, 1861) are commonly distributed along the studied coast. Enosteoides ornatus (Stimpson, 1858) and Pachycheles tomentosus (Henderson, 1893) sparsely occur and are firstly reported from the Gujarat coast. Diversity and distribution of porcelain crabs of Gujarat, India2017 •
Present paper reports four species of porcelain crabs in three genera from the Gujarat coast, India. Ancylocheles gravelei (Sankolli, 1963), Pisidia dehaanii (Krauss, 1843), P. gordoni (Johnson, 1970) and Polyonyx hendersoni Southwell, 1909 are reported from the Gujarat coast for the first time. Twelve porcellanid species are known from the Gujarat coast, including four species reported in this paper.

First record of two porcellanid crabs from Gujarat state, India (Crustacea: Decapoda: Porcellanidae)2013 •
Present paper records the occurrence of three species of hermit crabs, Dardanus lagopodes, Paguristes miyakei and Oncopagurus monstrosus, for the first time from Indian coast. D.lagopodes was c o l l e c t e d f r o m V i z h i n j a m B a y , Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala while P.miyakei and O.monstrosus was collected from trawl by-catch at Sakthikulangara harbour, Kollam district, Kerala.

A new species of porcellanid crab, Ancylocheles peterngi n. sp., is described on the basis of material collected during crustacean faunal surveys along the coasts of the Gujarat State, northwestern India. The new species resembles the sole congeneric species, A. gravelei (Sankolli, 1963), but is distinguished by the morphology of the carapace, third thoracic sternite and antenna.

Kerala is the largest freshwater crab-rich state in India. Out of 120 species of Indian freshwater crabs, Kerala is home for 35 gecarcinucid species (nearly 30%) in 14 genera. The Kerala part of the Western Ghats includes 26 species, which is about 45% of the total species (58 species) in the Western Ghats of India. Moreover, nearly twothirds species (23 species) and six genera of freshwater crabs are endemic to the state. This paper provides a systematic list and systematic account of all the freshwater crabs known so far from Kerala. An identification key is also provided.

Diversity and new records of intertidal hermit crabs of the genus Clibanarius (Crustacea: Decapoda: Diogenidae) from Gujarat coast off the northern Arabian Sea, with two new records for the mainland Indian coastline2017 •
The present study reports seven hermit crab species of the genus Clibanarius, viz., C. infraspinatus, C. longitarsus, C. rhabdodactylus, C. rutilus, C. signatus, C. virescens, and C. zebra, from the intertidal zone of Gujarat State on the west coast of India. With the exception of C. zebra, the remaining six species are the first records from the west coast of India, and two species, C. rutilus and C. rhabdodactylus are new records from mainland India. All the recorded species were found inhabiting rocky, sandy and muddy intertidal habitats. We have appended the diagnostic descriptions and live coloration of all species based on the observations of our voucher specimens. Comments are provided where they differ slightly from the published records of that species, enriching the available identification keys for the intertidal hermit crabs of the Indian Ocean.
