Adriana Sarmiento

Prior to ALI, Adriana Sarmiento had a distinguished career in the banking industry in both her native Colombia and the United States. She served as president of the board of directors of Banco De Occidente, one of Colombia’s largest banks, and was vice president at both Banco de Bogota and Barclays Bank, and was heavily involved with bringing global IFRS financial standards to Colombia.

Adriana founded and is CEO of CCXC, a social impact vehicle increasing total financial inclusion and sustainable economic growth of small enterprises in emerging economies. She is managing director of OLCSAL, and chief strategic advisor of CTIC, the foundation that owns the Luis Carlos Sarmiento Angulo Cancer Treatment & Research Center, a leading cancer treatment and research institution in Colombia.
