medium sized, thin-stemmed (about 1/2"), closely ringed solitary palm from Honduras and Mexico. Grows to about 10' tall. Has a sparse crown of leaves with 3-6 leaflets on each side of the rachis. Leaflets ovoid and wavy (rarely flat). Not a terribly ornamental plant and rarely seen outside of botanical gardens in California. Hardy down to about 27F. Not very sun or wind hardy.
