A viewing for Evelena Jenkins will be held Monday, January 9, 2023, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Allen Funeral Chapel in Beaufort, SC (1508 Duke Street). The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 11 o'clock in the morning at Grays Hill Full Gospel Deliverance Church (147 Bruce K Smalls Dr) Beaufort, SC.
In the cool of the evening on January 3, 2023, she took on her wings. Waiting with open arms her late deceased husband Deacon Joe Jenkins, daughter Sylvania (Michael) Triplatte and her baby son Jerry Lee Hagood.
Evelena Hagood Jenkins was born December 26, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Beatrice Hagood.
Evelena actively served as a mother at the Grayshill Full Gospel Deliverance Church for twenty plus years until her demise.
Evelena worked at many lovely hotels to include numerous years at the Hyatt Hotel on Hilton Head S.C.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters; Jossie (Pastor Norman Jenkins) and Alvina McCarthan both of Beaufort, SC, two sons; Larry (Christine) Johnson of Warner Robbin, GA, Michael (Carol) Johnson of Beaufort, SC, four sisters; Jestine Dunbar, Hattie Davis, Florence Green, and Geraldine (Jenne) Hagood, three brothers; Willie Hagood od Beaufort, SC, Leon Hagood of Columbia, SC, and Nathaniel (Stacy) Haygood of Savannah, GA, seventeen grand childrens and a host of great grand children.
To include our blended family: Abraham Johnson of Buffalo, NY, Monica and Marie Johnson of Beaufort, SC, Joe Johnson and Michael Johnson both of Beaufort, SC, Damien Johnson of Texas, Ida Jenkins Allen of Beaufort, SC and Andrew Jenkins of Beaufort, SC. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
