Description
Begonia Calico Kew is a hybrid begonia probably originated by crossing Begonia goegoensis, Begonia chlorosticta y Begonia Mumtaz, according to him "Junnal Biologi Indonesia“. Medium size and cane, it can reach 40 cm in height. This begonia is characterized by having asymmetrical brown-green leaves and numerous pink spots that blend in with the other colors on its surface. It has a very marked pink vein both on the upper side and on the underside of the leaf, creating a nice contrast. Its flowers are small and pink. Its cultivation in terrariums or greenhouses is recommended, although it can adapt to a lower environmental humidity (65-70%).
- Luz: semi-shade, never direct sun
- Irrigation: moderate, high humidity (70-90%). Avoid waterlogging if it is grown in a pot and direct watering on the leaves
- Temperature range: 18 - 30 ºC
- Substratum: Rich in organic matter and with good drainage. We recommend our specialized blend of premium substrate.
