Description
The Mrs townsend Begonia is of the giant rhizomatous type and its leaves can reach 30 cm in diameter. The color of its leaves is very variable depending on the light, although dark green and brownish tones almost black with bright green nerves tend to dominate. It has very abundant spike inflorescences with pink flowers. Like many rhizomatous it can withstand periods of drought or cold, shedding the leaves to sprout strongly in spring.
