Arts and Crafts Movement

Arts and Crafts Movement
The arts and crafts movement was most famous in Europe and North America
Between 1880 and 1920. The movement could be described as decorative with
patterns, very organic, busy with bright and enchanting colours. This movement was “anti-industrial“(Brenda M. King, Silk and Empire) it was also done by hand. The Fabric art piece by William Morris has curled vines and its roses in between gives it a brighter colour. To some these decorative art pieces might seem over decorative and extremely busy and most of these art pieces has a pattern, could also be seen on walls in houses.

Modern piece
The more modern wallpaper is still part of the Arts and Crafts movement because of its enchanting colours and the roses stick out because of its little brighter or darker colours. There are lots of curved lines and it’s all organic patterns and the pattern is persistent.
