There are 86 sharp knobs on the peripheral rib on the body whorl. The rounded body whorl goes over into the base that counts 17 spiral rows of equal strength. Umbilicus white and closed with an oblique columella, which is thickened. The color of the base is cream white with a pattern of yellow brown irregular flecks. Aperture inside is iridescent white and bears 8 labial plicae. Overall color of the shell is cream white with a pattern of yellow brown flecks on the major spiral ribs.

Možné záměny

Calliostoma anseeuwi n. sp. is close to Calliostoma sakashitai (Sakurai, 1994). However, the new species is twice as big as G sakashitai. Aside from the big size, it has a finer sculpture compared to C. sakashitai. C. sakashitai can also be distinguished by the faint to obvious purple spiral bands and the more slender outline.
