Style choices have always been an integral part of being a celebrity. Without a signature vibe, it's easy for a star to fade back into obscurity. The right dress, essentially, can make or break a career. And a scandalous dress... well, "all press is good press," right?

The Cut, NY Mag's fashion section, has released a list of 50 iconic looks ("Dresses" is too specific - the list includes pants, shirts, and suits (even of the birthday variety) that caused quite a stir. Included in the countdown are Bjork's infamous "Swan Dress," J-Lo's revealing Versace from the 2000 Grammy Awards, and Lady Gaga's meat dress. Other looks include Madonna's "Like A Virgin" wedding gown, Marilyn Monroe's white halter "subway" dress from The Seven Year Itch, and the original LBD designed by Coco Chanel.

The list even nods to the original bold fashion choice - Eve's fig leaves.
