Megan Thee Stallion's Chrome French Mani Is the Star of the "Hiss" Video

Every time Megan Thee Stallion enters a room, her nails walk in first. We're kidding of course, but her long, pointy manicures seem to transcend time and space every time she makes an appearance. From the Mean Girls red carpet to the VMAs, Oscars night, and even lounging at home—you name a place, and her signature nails are there with her. So, obviously, for one of the most talked about music videos of her career, the mani had to be top-tier.

On January 26, Meagan released the music video for her new single, "Hiss." The release was an instant hit and was immediately followed by an internet frenzy dissecting the lyrics—a frenzy that caught the attention of a certain member of rap royalty who has since been inescapably vocal about her distaste for the lyrics.

However, all the commotion surrounding the video is missing something: how detailed, dramatic, and gorgeous every look Meg wears in it is. Her sculptural dresses, icy blonde hair, and dramatic makeup are all gag-worthy. However, her nails were simply little works of art.

Throughout the video, she wears multiple long manis—including a stark white set and a glossy red one—but there's one look that shines above the rest: her futuristic chrome nails.

Extending multiple inches past her fingertips with an ultra-pointy stiletto tip, each of Meg's nails had various metallic designs. From tip to cuticle, each of her nails was coated in an ultra-glossy pink-nude base that glistened under the light. On top of that, each nail matched with a bright silver chrome accent, just in different shapes.

Most, like all of them on her left hand, had a spider web chrome-type design on them. Only, instead of being thin and wispy like a classic spider web, they were thick and flowy—almost like a neo-tribal tattoo design. Other nails, like her right pointer finger and thumb, had an abstract French design with a chrome tip that took up most of the nails.

She paired the nails with some shimmer on her eyes. On top of a glowing, flawless complexion, Meg dusted a bright white shimmery chrome eyeshadow from her inner corner to the outer corner, defining them with a thin stroke of black eyeshadow and some mascara. Jet black lined lips filled in with a bright clear gloss finished off the glam.
