The Physics Olympiad is a competition for highly motivated high school students. Our main objectives are to inspire young physics enthusiasts and to bring like-minded people together.

The Physics Olympiad is a competition for theoretical physicists. The goal of this Olympiad is to practice with challenging problems and gain knowledge through competition, roughly speaking. Finding people with an interest in theoretical science and assisting students in developing their research techniques are the objectives, roughly speaking, to a first order.

Our sole criterion is that participants be in their senior year of high school. We want to draw physics-interested students from universities all across the world. Because students may come from varied backgrounds, we promote cooperation among high school students from all years of study.

35 multiple-choice questions and five open-ended questions on various themes in contemporary theoretical physics will make up the Olympiad’s 35 questions, which will range in difficulty. Although practicing with problems from previous exams might be helpful, you can also use sample exams to get ready for this competition.

We allow the use of external references throughout the Olympiad, provided that they are referenced properly. Working well with sources is a crucial aspect of research.
