Knitra Renee Stevenson was born in Noxubee County, August 2,1982, to Carolyn Moore and Gerome Hairston.


She accepted Christ and began her Christian journey at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church. She later united and gained membership at Prepared Table Ministries, where she was a member of the choir.


Knitra was a 2000 graduate of West Lowndes High School, where she was crowned West Lowndes Homecoming Queen. She was also a graduate of East Mississippi Community College, also being crowned as Homecoming Queen. Knitra was a former employee at Baptist Memorial Golden-Triangle Hospital as a Phlebotomist. She was also formerly employed at Fresenius Medical Care as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician.


Knitra transitioned to eternal rest on July 11, 2019. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Cozette and Scott Stevenson and her uncle, Robert.


Knitra, affectionately known as Pig, memories will forever be cherished by her two daughters: Keasha Griffin and Kaylan Tate; her mother, Carolyn (Johnny) Moore; her father, Gerome Hairston; her siblings, Haley Buckingham, Jerome Weaver; her two nephews, Jayce Jones and Norvette Buckingham; her niece, Kasidee Jones; her aunts, Martha Jane Thomas, Mary A. Thomas, Annie (Tommie) Harris, Barbara (Raymond) Harris; uncles, William (Annie) Thomas, Marvin Stevenson, James (Anita) Stevenson, Gregory (Amy) Stevenson; and a host of family and friends who loved her unconditionally.
