LOS ANGELES, California — Director and writer Quentin Tarantino still plans to make a 10th movie. It’s just that it will no longer be “The Movie Critic.”
And the simple reason for dropping the project, which would have starred Brad Pitt, is that Tarantino changed his mind, Deadline reports.
“The Movie Critic” had been in development for several months, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The story reportedly was set in 1977 and would have involved Pitt reprising his role as stuntman Cliff Booth from 2019′s “Once Upon A Time ... In Hollywood.”
So now it’s back to the drawing board for Tarantino, reports say. It’s unknown what his final film will be about.
After the release of “Reservoir Dogs” in 1992, Tarantino has been one of the most influential directors in Hollywood. His fame increased with “Pulp Fiction” in 1994 and his resume includes “Inglorious Basterds,” “Django Unchained,” and “The Hateful Eight.”
His films often are darkly comic and are known for their unconventional storytelling techniques, unique characters and dialogue, and sometimes extreme violence.
