First-year

Bryn Mawr uses a holistic review process including, but not limited to, consideration of the student's school record, program rigor, essays, recommendations, testing (if provided), and personal qualities and achievements. Eligible students will have a high school diploma before matriculation and will not have enrolled as a full-time college student at any other institution. Students who have taken college courses as part of their high school curriculum are considered first-year applicants.

Transfer

Any student who has completed more than one full semester of college work post-high school must apply as a transfer student. College credits earned from general education courses in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences may be eligible for transfer. Full-time enrollment is required for transfer students and financial aid is available.

Additional Information

Bryn Mawr is dedicated to meeting 100% of demonstrated need for all admitted students. Applicants interested in need-based financial aid must submit a financial aid application at the same time as their admissions application. You must apply for financial aid in your first year to be considered for aid in subsequent years. For more information, visit Financial Aid.  Merit Scholarships are available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Merit aid eligibility is determined at the time of application review and is not negotiable.

Information sessions and campus tours are available daily, Monday-Friday as well as select Saturdays. Interviews are also offered to seniors in-person or virtually; while interviews are not required, they are highly recommended. Visitors will learn more about a women's college experience, our innovative curriculum, and student life from Admissions staff and current students. More in-depth visit experiences are offered through our Fall Open House, which is hosted annually in October. Schedule your visit or register for a virtual program to get a real feel for what it's like to be a Mawrter.

My experience at Bryn Mawr has instilled in me a sense of comfort in challenging myself. The supportive campus community at Bryn Mawr has taught me the importance of unapologetically taking up space and advocating for my beliefs.
