Guidelines & Examples

The symposium is a showcase of some of the finest scholarly and creative work on campus and as such should be regarded as a serious professional commitment. Students and sponsors should submit titles and abstracts only if they are certain that they will be able to attend and be prepared to present.

Research that involves work with human subjects must receive prior approval from the IRB (Institutional Research Board).

Please read and follow the guidelines below as you develop your presentation. Many examples of previous symposium abstracts are available online to help you with your own presentation, and you may also contact the symposium coordinator at any time for additional information or assistance.
