Alpine PDR-F50
Robert from Placerville, CA on 4/9/2020
I have ran a lot of Alpine amps over the years. I was impressed with the small footprint of this amp for the power rating. I was able to place this amp and my sub amp together under the passenger seat of my 2007 Toyota Tundra, were I had a 5 channel amp previously. I did bring up the gain more of this amp versus previous Alpine models. It's pushing aftermarket componet speakers front and rear. It sounds clean!

Great sound quality as usual from alpine
Pros: Power
Cons: Smallest amount of hiss. Probably due to high power output

Nice, but certainly not blown away.
Crutchfield customer from Hampton, VA on 6/6/2019
I have an aftermarket receiver and after market speakers, but I've never had an amp. I wish I could saw WOW, but I can't. It does make a difference but I can't truthfully say that I'm overly impressed. I liked the power per channel versus the price but at the end of the day I wish I had settled cheaper model. I was considering upgrading to component speakers and possibly a powered sub, but now I'm not sure if the investment is worth it. Wife's '17 Rogue with premium sound still blows my sound system away. Disappointed.
Pros: Price, name, power
Cons: not sure a cheaper alternative wouldn't have given me the same experience.

Alpine has always been my favourite. Love the 'birth certificate' that always comes with Alpine amps. Always shows you that their power is underrated on the spec sheet. Well built, clean power. And looks awesome too!

Sound isn't very crisp, and it smells like my car is on fire. I guess this is what you get when buying refurb products. Will most likely be returning this. :(

Alpine amps are great...I have 4 that have lasted over 12 years. This amp is nice and small, and will fit under a car seat. It's easy to hook up, and with Crutchfield's help, you can have everything dialed in just the way you like the sound.
Pros: Size of amp is small and compact
Cons: Top cover must be removed to make adjustments to crossover frequencies or other changes

Amazing tiny amp
Stephen from Carrollton, TX on 4/26/2018
Amazing LITTLE amp. I have a 350z so space is a concern. This thing is tiny, but packs a big punch. I got this to replace my alpine mrv-f300, which for the price was also a great little amp. Because i was upgrading to the focal k2 series components. This amo pairs with the focals prefectly. Plenty of power and crystal clear. I even noticed a difference in the performance of the rear channel infinitys i have. Slightly louder and highs are more prominent and crystal clear. Cant recommend enough. Full disclosure, im a big fan of alpine amps and head units. But i assure you, you will love this amp.
Pros: Size, power, clarity
Cons: Maybe price? But thats if im being really nit picky. Otherwise none so far.

Its a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. This amp is a little powerhouse and sounds super clean. The bass controlw only worth for channels 3 & 4 but thats all i need anyway.
Pros: Clean sound, plenty of control options, reliable power
Cons: Slightly pricey

A lot of power for the price
Ima D Boss from fairless hills, PA on 2/28/2016
I bought this amp to upgrade an old Denon amp. I used it for 2 front Polk separates and the other 2 channels bridged for a single JL W1 in a sealed box. At first look in appeared very small, but after setting it up, I pushed it hard with no issues whatsoever. VERY clean sound. Excellent control over parameters. Using and Alpine head up front.
Pros: Small package, easy to hide anywhere. Quality cable/wire connectors. Excellent power. Low heat. Very clean sound. Easy to adjust.
Cons: Non yet... The angle to fit in your hex key for wire connections is a little tight, but easily doable.

Jason T from Christiansburg,Virginia on 6/1/2015
I got just what I expected from Alpine and Crutchfield. A amp that was thoroughly rated and described by Crutchfield which Alpine always delivers. I run this to my component speakers in my Jeep wrangler and they give them all of the push that they require. The amp runs cool and doesn't clip. Great product.
Pros: Size, looks, power consumption efficiency,
Cons: None

Big Sound for the Size
ChrisD from Seattle, WA on 3/25/2015
Installed three previous amplifiers in a variety of different cars, but I had to get creative with the space under the rear bench in my 96 Grand Cherokee. Fits in the same location as the OEM Infinity Gold Amp without any difficulty length wise. Width is a tad tight, but it's just enough to remain on level ground. Doesn't run hot at all and have had no experience of distortion regardless of music (rock, rap, etc). Very slight distortions at the highest volume levels, but I'm just being picky at this point. Very impressive amplifier for the price!! Install was not a problem, was able to conceal wiring under carpet through pre-exisitng wire channels.
Pros: Stays cool Compact for variety of install locations Install is rather straight forward
Cons: Very slight distortion at highest volume levels

Awesome Amp! Powers Up My 3 Sets Of Speakers And When Played Loud There's No Distortion Or That Sort Of Thing. The Amp Doesn't Get As Hot As Most Amps Would. Which Means It'll Last Longer.
Pros: Does Run As Hot You Would Think. Small So You Can Tuck It Away.
Cons: Have Yet To Discover 1.

Very Impressed
I installed this amp in my camaro to replace the boston acoustic amp. I am very impressed with the stereo separation, very tight controlled bass and detail highs that this amp delivers. It is very efficent and cool running also. This amp packs a big punch for the money. I've had higher dollar amps but not to deliver the clarity that this one does. I can't express enough on the tight bass it delivers. Alpine did a great job on this one.
Pros: The gain controls and crossover are very accessible. Very Powerful, quiet and cost effective for what you get!
Cons: Cannot think of any.
