I started my art career over 35 years ago with my studies at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana completing a BA degree in Fine Arts. A few years later, I continued my design studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where I earned a landscape architecture degree. That same year I relocated to Hartford, Connecticut, and I was employed for 25 years working as a landscape designer.. Although my work was fulfilling, I had a great desire to create art. So I enrolled at the local university,Central Connecticut University, and completed a master's degree in art education specializing in sculpture. My art is in art collections in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York.
In October 2017, I retired from my landscape designer position. Result of my search for warmer climate, I relocated near Austin, Texas in January 2018. Since being in Texas, I have been focusing on my paintings. My subject for my current paintings has been landscapes, sunsets, and seashores.
I am enjoying working with the acrylic paints on sketch canvas and watercolor pencils on watercolor papers.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
