Tradescantia 'Iris Pritchard'

By crabbo_1
This is a Tradescantia taken in the garden...first one out as far as I am aware. Taken using a 105mm sigma lens and tripod.
The flower is an 'Iris Pritchard' variety giving it the bearded centre.

1/125sec at f/2.8, ISO 200

The beard is not very complimentary to Iris Pritchard.
Still, good detail on the beard. f2.8 will give very tight DOF, have you tried f11 ish, it works well for my flower images.
Hope this helps and also that Iris gets over the beard.

Thanks glyndwr...I'll have a play around at f11 and see how it comes out. Smile
