The African Tulip tree (spathodea campanulata) is one of the most gorgeous of the flowering trees, thanks to its gigantic reddish-orange flowers. Native to tropical and subtropical Africa, they’re also known as Flame of the Forest. The blooms are used by many pollinators such as birds, bees and butterflies. They’re fast-growing trees and will provide a good amount of shade in just a few years. They can grow in sun to shade and are drought-tolerant. African tulips also do well as bonsai specimens. Each pack comes with basic instructions for germination.
