The Carolina Azalea (rhododendron carolinianum) is a perennial evergreen shrub and one of the most beautiful in the azalea and rhododendron family. Their dark green foliage is contrasted brilliantly with the shell-shaped light pink flowers. These shrubs grow about five feet tall and wide, and in a mound-like shape. While many shrubs prefer sun, azaleas and rhododendrons perform best in shade or filtered light. Azaleas make excellent border shrubs and will provide a visual impact to your garden. Please note that the seeds are very small and they prefer well-drained and acidic soil. Aside from that, they’re easy to grow and are low maintenance. Each pack comes with basic instructions for germination.
