Vintage Nereis classroom chart from Turtox, General Biological Supply House, Chicago. Copyright 1939. This is a black and white classroom chart printed on paper, 17 inches wide and 22 inches long (includes a 1.5 inch reinforced strip at the top of the chart for inclusion in a 3-hole binder).

Hard-to-find, dramatic chart featuring 3 large illustrations of external features and anatomy of Nereis - a genus of marine polychaete worm (some are known commonly as ragworms).

The illustrations are lettered and numbered, with a corresponding legend at the bottom of the chart identifying structures, primarily iexternal features.

The chart is in very good to excellent condition – there is some minimal paper discoloration as to be expected on a chart of this age.

Just a nice chart in great condition – an attractive, informative and fascinating work and a terrific example of mid-20th century scientific illustration for education.
