● Whenever possible print artwork using a laser printer instead of an inkjet printer.
Print using a laser printer to prevent smudging when coloring.
● Regular copy paper does not do justice to the coloring experience. Try to choose light card stock acid-
free cardstock paper (65lbs) when coloring with dry media such as colored pencils, pastels, crayons, or
chalk pencils.
● A heavier 110lb cardstock paper is probably best for coloring with wet media, such as gel pens, some
markers, and maybe watercolor pencils.
● Be creative and try using brown Kraft paper to compliment the colors that you choose.
