A layered SVG has colors that may overlap. These are good for paper and vinyl projects, where the goal is to create more dimension. For instance, the layered donut SVG includes the full brown donut, the pink icing, and the sprinkles on top.

A Separated Colors SVG doesn’t overlap any colors. This is good for iron-on projects. For instance, the separated colors donut SVG will only have the brown part of the donut that doesn’t overlap the icing or sprinkles. The icing will have cut out holes where the sprinkles will go.

Most multicolored files come with both types of SVG, but please message us if you have specific questions or requests!
