"Healthy but had dropped all leaves but three in the shipping box, so it was pretty bare. Now has 2 leaves after planting. Size was accurately described and trunk is strong ~1 in and not spindly like we usually get mail ordering. Scratch test shows stem is still alive and green, so repotted and put with other dwarf peach/plums getting ready for Fall winterizing but enjoying early Fall sun for rooting. Since it's struggling and the others have had all summer to root, I'll be bringing this peppermint peach indoors to overwinter in a 35F plant room (chill hours) under a clear humidity jacket (a vented zip plastic garment bag) so it doesn't dry out in our winter air, and next year will be its first Michigan winter outdoors, zone 5. I fully expect it to recover in Spring warmth, tho chill hours will determine how much it flowers."
