Donald Trump's first address to Congress was a rather sober one, compared to the fiery words and tweets we've seen since his inauguration. Our guest, John MacArthur, the president and publisher of Harper's Magazine, reacts to Trump's speech. He says "there was a very heavy makeover at work to make him look like a serious person". MacArthur believes "there is really only one Donald Trump and thatās the eccentric, greedy, narcissistic and angry Donald Trump".
John MacArthur says that the US president coming across as statesmanlike is "unconvincing and politically risky, because if he suddenly becomes statesmanlikeā¦ his base are going to feel betrayed".
