Aeschynanthus parasiticus, Lipstick Plant or the Basket Vine is not a parasite but an epiphyte. It is endemic to India where it grows on the trees.
The foliage is leathery, pointed in shape and mid green in colour.
The flowers appear in large upright clusters of red-orange tubular blooms with protruding white stamen throughout the warm months.
This is a good plant for hanging baskets in a warm and draft free location.
