Do you believe in aphrodisiacs--so called foods and herbs that are said to rev up your sex drive? I tend to find the concept fascinating, even if it's mostly in our minds. And now, I've stumbled across some interesting info about a certain herb that's known to have "anaphrodisiac" effects. In other words, it might kill your sex drive.

Marjoram, a herb people frequently put in soups and stews has plenty of good-for-you properties. For instance, it is often used by herbalists and aromatherapists to treat insomnia. But, don't turn to marjoram if you are trying to sizzle things up tonight.

"Marjoram has a warm, woody and somewhat spicy/camphoreous scent," says Cher Kore, a Boston-based aromatherapist. But don't confuse "spicy" with sexy. "It is an anaphrodisiac meaning it reduces sex drive."

Do you cook with marjoram? I don't, so I can't tell you how it makes me feel! It is interesting though, isn't it!?__
