Julianne Hough seemed to channel her "inner Barbie" recently in a look reminiscent of the vintage doll's very first look — the iconic black and white chevron bathing suit outfit — that debuted all the way back in 1959.

The former Dancing With The Stars judge hit the streets of New York City on September 13 after an appearance on Good Morning America where she announced the upcoming season's dancers in a vertically striped black-and-white sleeveless top and knee-length skirt combo by Marc Jacobs. She paired the outfit with a small black Prada handbag, earrings with dangling pearl charms, large oversized black sunglasses and pointy-toed white strappy stilettos by Paul Andrew. The 35-year-old's traditional long blonde locks were in loose curls, with some pulled back out of her face. Her makeup was very minimal and finished off with a nude lip, which allowed her bright red nails to really pop.

When the Safe Haven actress shared some photos of the look in a post she captioned, "Strolling through my favorite city 💫," fans were quick to share their thoughts.

"Such a 20’s vibe 😍," someone wrote. "Oh oh oh 🔥🔥. Looking fit, fab and so fashionable ❤️❤️," a different person commented. "One thing about you is you will serve a lewk Miss Hough!" another person said. One fan chimed in, "You look phenomenal!"

Julianne will once again be a part of the long-running professional dance competition this fall but with a twist. Although she has served as a permanent judge for five seasons total, she will now act as co-host with Fresh Prince alum Alfonso Ribeiro for the upcoming season 32, replacing Tyra Banks who left last March.

In a statement to Good Morning America, she said, "The show holds such a special place in my heart from the many years and different roles I have had the privilege of being a part of. . . the incredible team that brings the ballroom to life every night has been my family for the past 17 years."

After watching her evolve so much over the past 15+ years with the show, we have to say we're excited to see both her co-hosting skills and what are sure to be some stunning outfits week after week.
