True Worshipers

True Worshipers

“We must never rest until everything inside us worships God.” - A. W. Tozer

From the beginning of time God created the perfect place “Eden” for man to dwell and have intimacy with Him. When the fall happened, intimacy with God was broken. Subsequently, Jesus Christ came and restored the relationship that was initially put in place by God between Himself and man.

Even in our current time, God is constantly seeking for those who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth, and to return to the dwelling place of deep intimacy.

John 4:23-24 AMPC

A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).”

We need to understand that true worship is more than singing beautiful songs on a Sunday; it is more than instruments and music… A true worshipper will desire to worship God at all times, in every way and with all his or her life.

We can see now there is a cry for Revival that requires “true worshippers”. Just recently, there was a revival that broke out at Asbury University, Wilmore, Kentucky.

The media was flooded with news how young people came together and just worshipped God. What was so profound to me, is that there was no professional worship band or well-known celebrities singing and leading the people into worship. They spontaneously worshipped God from their spirit.

This was truly a move of God and a people who sought Him in a radical way. In order to get in line with this prevailing revival climate, we have to personally get hungry for the presence of God and be in intimacy with Him. God is calling us back to His heart again, and only we can answer that call.

This worship revival is a re-awakening of God’s people… and IT’S COMING!!  Why?… Because the Holy Spirit is going to move in a new way!  It’s not going to look like the charismatic revival, nor is it going to look like the Azusa street revival or the Jesus revival… But it’s going to look like something we have never experienced nor seen before. God is always doing a new thing and we have to be careful that we don’t get so religious and stuck in our ways that we don’t recognize the day of our visitation.

My prayer for our generation is, “God help us not miss a visitation from Your Holy Spirit. True Worshippers, who not only sing songs, but who cry out for more of His spirit and thirst for His living water.

I would like to give you three keys that will help you to become an end time worshipper.

1.    Humility

True worship requires humility, because God hates pride. True worship and pride cannot exist together. We need to come before the Lord with a humble heart. His grace is available to us when we humble ourselves. He lifts us up to a place where we only focus on Him and not on the issues of life and our own fleshly desires. We need to come empty so that He can fill us with Himself.

“Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence, for you hate all who do evil.” Psalms 5:5 NLT.

A humble heart recognizes that it follows the will of God and not its own. Having a humble heart is key to having a heart of a worshipper.

2Loving God’s Word

A true worshipper loves the written Word of God and he/she spends time in it, to learn more about God and His ways. Ps.119:140 says… “Your Word is very pure, therefore Your servant loves it.

God gave us His word so that it would guide and direct us throughout our lives. When we feed on His Word, we can’t help but love Him more because we are knowing Him more intimately.

 3. An Obedient Heart

As you grow in your faith, you will find that worshipping God is amazing and brings such refreshing and blessing to you and the Lord. Your worship will  flow from your heart.

As you continue in your walk with the Lord, remember Jesus is the author and perfecter of our faith, (Hebrews 12:2 NLT), “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.”

God will help you grow to have the heart of a worshipper. Keep seeking Him and you will find incredible peace, love and joy.

“WORSHIP IS THE RESPONSE TO ALL CIRCUMSTANCES IN LIFE, VICTORY WILL CERTAINLY FOLLOW”

When you face difficulties in life, lift up your hands and just worship God, it brings peace to stormy situations.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come boldly to Your throne, and I repent for quenching Your Spirit. I am hungry and thirsty for your living waters for a new fresh Revival of worship. I desire to be a worshipper in Spirit and in Truth. More than ever before, I am desperate for more of Your heart. Revive my spirit and awaken my heart for more of You; to know You intimately. I want to be a radical revivalist who will carry the heart of worship to this generation. In Jesus name.

 Forgive Quickly and Love Deeply
